U.S. Army Soldiers deployed to Kosovo race to complete a 4-mile ruck march on the early morning of Jan. 9, 2016, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, as part of the Multinational Battle Group-East Soldier of the Month competition. The two-day competition included an evaluation on each competitor’s physical fitness, weapons knowledge, and ability to evaluate and evacuate a casualty. The competition’s NCOs and junior enlisted Soldiers represent the best of each U.S. Army unit serving as part of NATO’s Kosovo Force peace support mission in the region. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
