Five enlisted Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, were recently awarded the Purple Heart Medal for wounds received while fighting the War on Terrorism. General Michael W. Hagee, commandant of the Marine Corps, personally pinned the medals on the Marines during a recent ceremony at Camp Baharia, Iraq.
