Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable William Natter III, observes visit, board, search and seizure training aboard the Africa Partnership Station East platform USS Nicholas (FFG 47) in Mombasa, Kenya, Jan. 14. VBSS is one in a series of APS courses being given to members of the Kenya Navy and is designed as part of maritime exchanges occurring with APS and Kenya. Natter visited Swift and USS Nicholas (FFG 47) to meet with Sailors and learn more about the APS program. Swift and Nicholas are in East Africa and will visit ports in Djibouti, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Mauritius, Seychelles and Comoros to participate in maritime exchanges aimed at enhancing maritime safety and security in the region.
