U.S Air Force pilots Capt. Patrick Shanks and Capt. April Brown, assigned to the 909th Air Refueling Squadron in Kadena, Japan, prepare for landing a KC-135 Stratotanker at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam on Feb. 11, 2016, after completing a mid-air refueling mission during exercise Cope North 2016, a multilateral field training exercise to improve combat readiness, develop a synergistic disaster response, and increase interoperability between the U.S. Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force and Japanese Air Self-Defense Force.
