A U.S. Air Force F-15 Strike Eagle pilot conducts a mid-air refueling Feb. 11, 2016 over the Pacific during exercise Cope North 16, a multilateral field training exercise to improve combat readiness, develop a synergistic disaster response, and increase interoperability between the U.S. Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force and Japanese Air Self-Defense Force. CN16 includes 22 total flying units and nearly 3,000 personnel from six countries and continues the growth of strong, interoperable and beneficial relationships within the Indo-Asia-Pacific region through integration of airborne and land-based command and control assets.
