Brigadier Gen. David A. Ottignon, the 1st Marine Logistics Group commanding general, speaks about the benefits of staying in the Marine Corps with Sgt. Casey Primeaux, a combat engineer with 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st MLG, during a lunch with 1st MLG leadership aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 23, 2016. Four meritoriously promoted sergeants shared an afternoon with the commanding general, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, the 1st MLG sergeant major, and Master Chief Petty Officer Harlan B. Patawaran, the 1st MLG command master chief. The gathering served as an ideal opportunity to draw on the leaders’ knowledge and experience through discussions of leadership, work ethic, family life, and what it means to be a sergeant of Marines.
