160301-N-ZA585-127 SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 1, 2016) - Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Richard Trontel, from Pueblo, Colo., practices using a portable exothermal cutting unit (PECU) during damage control (DC) rodeo aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). DC Rodeo is a four-hour long event training Sailors in various aspects of damage control. Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled 7th Fleet deployment.
