The Coast Guard Foundation presented the Coast Guard Foundation Award to members of Coast Guard Sector Mobile for the rescue of 40 people in connection to the sailing regatta that was affected by a storm, April 25, 2015. A storm hit the Mobile Bay, Alabama, area, running a 600-foot chemical tanker aground and impacting 117 sailboats that were participating in a sailing regatta.
