Gun trucks of the Q-West quick reaction force for recovering vehicles descend a valley in Ninewa province, where they will help recover a combat vehicle stuck in a sinkhole, Jan. 18. The recovery QRF - a small detachment of Soldiers from C Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, 155th Brigade Combat Team, out of Oxford and Indianola, Miss., - assisted members of the 204th Military Police Company, 519th MP Battalion, headquartered in Fort Polk, La. This was their third mission in 30 hours, and during the next 24 hours they would complete three more recoveries with only a few hours of sleep.
