The Art Deco-style entrance tower to the New York National Guard's Harlem Armory, originally constructed in 1933, features new terra cotta federal eagles and other features which were redone as part of a $2.2 million project which has been recognized with the New York Landmarks Conservancy's Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award. The building was originally built to house the 369th Infantry Regiment-- famous as the Harlem Hell Fighters-- which distinguished itself in World War I.
