Spc. Robert S. Lacey, a gunner from Houston, Miss., demonstrates a spotlight mounted on his turret while performing preventative maintenance checks and services in the company area, Feb. 4. The driver of Lacey's scout truck, Spc. Michael A. Boucher, a scout truck driver from Batesville, Miss., rigged the light for his turret. Boucher also made additional mud flaps for the Self-Protection Adaptive Roller Kit – attached to the front of the vehicle, absorbing bomb damage and shielding the vehicle and crew, said Pauley. These improvements have increased the vehicle's security and safety, said Lacey. Both men serve with 1st Platoon, B Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, 155th Brigade Combat Team, out of Greenwood, Miss.
