The stable built into the east wall of an old fortress, which stands remarkably intact on the saddle of a ridge near the village of Khan Najma, Ninewa province. Members of Mississippi Army National Guard unit - A Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, 155th Brigade Combat Team, the Q-West force protection company from Hernando, Miss. - visited the site while returning from a mission, Feb. 3. Notice the stone manger running down the middle of the stable, perhaps used for water, and to the right, deeper mangers possibly used for hay or other grasses and grains.
