Soldiers from 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services on a M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank as they draw equipment from the European Activity Set at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, Romania April 7. Soldiers from the brigade will be drawing EAS equipment at locations in Germany, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Romania in preparation for Exercise Anakonda 16. Anakonda 16 is a Polish-led, joint, multinational exercise taking place in Poland from June 7-17. It involves more than 25,000 participants from 24 nations and supports assurance and deterrence measures by demonstrating Allied defense capabilities to deploy, mass and sustain combat power.
