The school was one of three schools chosen as part of the humanitarian civic assistance projects during this year’s exercise. Balikatan, translated as “shoulder-to-shoulder” in Filipino, characterizes the spirit of the exercise that focuses on Philippine and U.S. partnership and commitment to the mutual defense treaty.
