DONA ANNA RANGE, NEW MEXICO– Air Force Pre-Ranger candidates carry a log as part of a team-building exercise during the second day of the 15-day Air Force Ranger Assessment Course 16-01. The course, which runs from April 19-May 3, is designed to test the candidates physical and mental endurance to ensure the Airmen have what it takes to attend Army Ranger School. The Air Force sends approximately 10 Airmen a year to the course. Since 1953, 253 Air Force personnel have graduated from Ranger School.
