After a Shadow unmanned aerial vehicle makes its landing, Spc. Ben Hughes from Fort Drum, N.Y., a Shadow UAV maintainer in 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, U.S. Division - Center, pushes the aircraft off of the flight line to the maintenance bay, March 7. The maintainers, attached to Company G, 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, conduct inspections of the aircraft after each flight as part of the diligence needed to sustain operations and reach 20,000 flight hours in a 10-month period.
