A wreath rest next to a grave marker of several 6994th Security Squadron and 361st Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron airmen who went by a motto of “Unarmed, Alone and Unafraid” as they flew on an EC-47 unarmed World War II aircraft during the Vietnam War. Their intelligence collecting missions were key to identifying advisories with the use of Airborne Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) equipment in the back of an EC-47. The missions they conducted helped pave the way for intelligence operations in today’s Air Force. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Alexandre Montes)
