Several 6994th Security Squadron and 361st Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron veterans walk through the Arlington National Cemetery after attending a Baron 52 wreath-laying ceremony May 11, 2016 at Arlington, Va. The 6994th SS ‘Back-enders’ and 361st TEWS went by a motto of “Unarmed, Alone and Unafraid” as they flew on an EC-47 unarmed World War II aircraft during the Vietnam War. Their intelligence collecting missions were key to identifying advisories with the use of Airborne Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) equipment in the back of an EC-47. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
