Jeana Kanne, Director of Nursing Services (left), and Ensign Shannon Carr cut a cake during the 108th U.S. Navy Nurse Corps birthday ceremony aboard the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19). Mercy is currently deployed in support of Pacific Partnership 2016; this year's mission is designed to emphasize multilateral cooperation and building mutual trust in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Medical, engineering and various other personnel embarked aboard Mercy will work side-by-side with host and partner nation counterparts, exchanging ideas, building best practices and relationships to ensure preparedness should disaster strike.
