Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, commanding general of III Corps, based out of Fort Hood, Texas, addresses the audience during the corps' transfer of authority ceremony March 13 at the Al Faw Palace at Camp Victory, Iraq. Cone and the III Corps Soldiers assume their position as the nucleus of United State Forces - Iraq. Cone is now the deputy commanding general of operations for USF-I. The Fort Hood, Texas-based unit replaced I Corps, based out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
