Hippolyte Tavares, 932nd Blood Support Detachment Blood Support Warehouse shift leader, scans the bar code on red blood cell bags in preparation for shipment through the Air Force at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, March 12. The Blood Support Warehouse manufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood products to medical treatment facilities throughout sites in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tavares is currently deployed from Fort Hood, Texas, and is a native of Newark, N.J.
