Recruits of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, demonstrate a leg sweep takedown during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 13. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 19.
