Capt. James D. Mega (right), a native of Saco, Maine and graduate of Transitional Year Internship Program, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, receives his diploma from Maj. Jeffery C. Ashburn, director of Transitional Year Residency Program, during WBAMC’s Graduate Medical Education graduation at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, June 18. The WBAMC GME program trains physicians, medical students and other health care professionals by placing equal emphasis on patient care, teaching and research. The program is designed to give Soldiers a broad educational base and at the same time meet American Osteopathic Association and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requirements for accreditation.
