    Sparks fly during a heat and beat evolution aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Fir, a 225-foot seagoing buoy tender homeported in Astoria, Ore., as crewmembers repair a chain during buoy operations at the mouth of the Columbia River, June 23, 2016.

    The crew replaced the concrete anchor, repaired a chain and switched out the LED light on the red buoy 14.
