    The deck force aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Fir, a 225-foot seagoing buoy tender homeported in Astoria, ore., lifts the 35-foot tall 9-foot wide buoy out of the Columbia River near Ilwaco, Wash., June 23, 2016.

    The crew of the Fir maintains 60 percent of the largest buoys in the Coast Guard that match the size of buoy 14.
