PEARL HARBOR (July 7, 2016) USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) Command Master Chief Trenton Schmidt speaks to visiting local senior enlisted service members on the navigation bridge during Rim of the Pacific maritime exercise. RIMPAC, held from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and southern California, will include 26 nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, John C. Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
