Gen Peter Chiarelli, Multi National Corps-Iraq cammander August 3 at Logistical Support Area Anaconda. Chiarelli was at the LSA to present Air Medals to two National Guard flight crews who are attached to the Thunder Brigade for the deployment. The crews rescued two downed AH-64 Apache pilots after thier aircraft was shot down July 13.
