Killeen, the commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, and a Mundelein, Ill., along with other prominent government officials perform a traditional maile lei untying ceremony for the new MV-22 hangar on Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay aboard MCB Hawaii, July 19, 2016. The construction site was blessed by a Hawaiian priest and key attendees of the event conducted a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of a MV-22 Osprey hangar. The new unit will be the first Osprey squadron to be stationed in Hawaii. Senior military leaders, members of Hawaii’s congressional delegation and key community partners attended the event to support and praise the completion of the MV-22 hangar.
