NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 22, 2016) – Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuel) Airman Taylor Mason, assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) Air Department, V-4 Division, tests a sound-powered telephone prior to loading 500,000 gallons of JP-5 fuel aboard the ship.
