PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (July 29, 2016) – Daryl Daugs, the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity for Kitsap County, thanks Sailors including those from USS Nimitz (CVN 68), and other volunteers from the local region, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony, for helping construct and finish the build of two homes prior to them being given away to local families. Nimitz is currently undergoing an extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
