(Right) Sioux Falls Mayor Dave Munson and (left) Representative Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin, shake the hands of Soldiers of the South Dakota Army National Guard's 196th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade during the activation ceremony May 8, at the Elmen Center, Augustana College campus, Sioux Falls. The 196th will deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to operate as an area support group command for the Kabul Base Cluster and will provide guidance, policy and oversight for 11 military bases operating throughout the capital region.
