Spc. Andrew Alger, military policeman, 65th Military Police Company, deployed from Fort Bragg, N.C., explains to two Guatemalan Soldiers how to properly dissemble an M4 rifle during the platoon exchange on May 15. U.S. Soldiers attended classes on Guatemalan military tactics at the Guatemalan camp in the morning. That afternoon, the MPs gave classes on the proper handling and assembling of several weapons and what to do if they spotted an improvised explosive device. The exchange allowed troops from both nations to learn new skills and get to know Soldiers of a different culture.
