Since the start of Rotation 1 in May, engineer units from the 877th Engineer Battalion, Alabama Army National Guard and the 10th Engineer Brigade, Romanian Land Forces have been diligently working together to complete the Small Arms Range at Cincu Training Range. By the end of Rotation 6 in late August, the range will be inspected and is expected to be fully mission capable. As of August 4, 2016, the Small Arms Range is still under construction as both U.S. and Romanian Soldiers complete punch lists and other small details on the site. The Small Arms Range project consists of one multi-purpose ops storage building, two ammunition breakdown buildings and three multi-purpose shelters. Upon completion, all six structures will be fully operational and installed with lightning protection systems. Cincu Training Range is the fundamental area of operation in Romania for RC 16. Cincu priorities of work include both horizontal and vertical construction improvements. Additional military training covered military police and special operations tasks. Engineer units from the 877th Engineer Battalion and units from the 231st Military Police Battalion, Alabama Army National Guard, partnered with units from the 10th Engineer Brigade, Romanian Land Forces, at Cincu, Romania from April until September 2016.
