Rear Adm. Nora W. Tyson, commander of Task Force 73, has dinner in the wardroom of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga with Capt. Richard L. Clemmons, commodore of Task Force 73.1, and the commanding officers of Tortuga, the guided-missile frigate USS Vandegrift and the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Mellon, to welcome officers of the Indonesian navy and marines. The ships are participating in the sea phase of Naval Engagement Activity Indonesia 2010, a part of the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
