HOPE HULL, Ala. (Sept. 17, 2016) -- Approximately 20 Soldiers assigned to Detachment 2, Company C (Air Ambulance), 1st Battalion, 111th Aviation Regiment, 122nd Troop Command, Alabama Army National Guard, assemble as a unit in formation for the first time during the ceremony to activate their newly formed detachment at Army Aviation Support Facility #1, Fort R. W. Shepherd Armory, here, today.
The detachment is the first medical evacuation aviation unit to serve in the Alabama Army National Guard in 16 years.
