ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 8, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Reagan Brewer conducts maintenance on an SRU-42 breathing apparatus in the paraloft shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Brewer servers aboard Ike as aircrew survival equipmentman and is responsible for maintenance of all survival gear for aircrew members and pilots. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
