Senior leaders of the U.S. Department of Defense and South African National Defense Forces discussed bilateral training and exercise opportunities for 2017 at the New York State Military Museum in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The meeting was hosted by the New York National Guard, a National Guard Bureau state partner with South Africa since 2003. The State Partnership Program (SPP) is a U.S. Department of Defense program managed by the National Guard that links individual U.S. states with partner countries around the world.
