ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 26, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Cullen Kyser, left, instructs Seaman Mathew McPhillips on how to rig weld a water tight door in the machinery repair shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). Kyser and McPhillips serve aboard the ship as a hull maintenance technician and helps inspect, repair and maintain Ike's structural systems. Eisenhower and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
