Shaffer, a flight mechanic from Air Station Clearwater, Florida, forward deployed to Great Inagua, Bahamas, lowers Petty Officer 1st Class Erick Lieb, a rescue swimmer also from the air station, during a medevac in the Bahamas, Sept. 25, 2016. The helicopter crew forward deploys in support of Operation Bahamas Turks and Caicos, a counter drug operation, but continues to support the Coast Guard's primary mission of search-and-rescue.
