    PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 2, 2016) Cmdr. Manuel Hernandez, commanding officer of guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111), Cmdr. Tim Arbulu, executive officer, Lt. Cmdr. Scott French, officer in charge of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49 “Devilfish” detachment assigned to Spruance, and Sailors assigned to Spruance and HSM 49 stand in front of a MH-60R “Seahawk” helicopter on the flight deck following the pinning ceremony for the first Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist program aboard a destroyer. Spruance and guided-missile destroyers USS Decatur (DDG 73) and USS Momsen (DDG 92), along with embarked “Warbirds” and “Devilfish” detachments of HSM 49, are deployed in support of maritime security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific as part of a U.S. 3rd Fleet Pacific Surface Action Group (PAC SAG) under Commander, Destroyer Squadron (CDS) 31.
