(Left) Lt. Col. Hector M. Moran, executive officer of the 166th Regional Support Group, and Command Sgt. Maj. Rene R. Rivera, command sergeant major of the 166th RSG, case their unit colors at a ceremony on Contingency Operating Base Speicher, July 20. The 166th RSG is redeploying to Puerto Rico after a year-long deployment to Iraq. Among their many accomplishments during this deployment was offering round-the-clock operational capabilities to aid tenant units with issues such as requesting vehicles and billeting. Division Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, will now assume the responsibilities of the garrison mission on COB Speicher.
