FUJI, Japan (Nov. 14, 2016) Petty Officer Third Class Robert Blankenship, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, operates a roller to compact a track that is being built for the Marine Corps Community Service (MCCS) facility. The facility will be provide a safer place for physical activity to be conducted for the Marines and Naval personnel stationed at Combined Arms Training Center located on Camp Fuji. NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Western Pacific NMCB ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, Calif., NMCB 5 has 12 detachment sites deployed throughout the United States and Western Pacific area of operations.
