SUEZ CANAL (Dec. 4, 2016) The guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56) conducts a routine, scheduled transit through the Suez Canal. San Jacinto, as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is currently deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
