Sgt. 1st Class Michael Mullins gives the Nigerien Armed Forces officers instructions on the proper way to execute “The Weaver” while 1st Lt. Daniel Godlasky prepares to demonstrate the obstacle. During instruction, the purpose, the proper way of execution, safety precautions, and penalties were explained.
Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, of the 1st Brigade Combat Team "Bastogne", 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), spent four weeks observing and mentoring basic combat training cadre of the Nigerian Armed Forces (FAN).
The Bastogne Brigade is the regionally allocated force supporting U.S. Army Africa events and exercises across the African continent this year.
