Lance Cpl. James J. McKneely, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialist with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Apple Valley, Calif., native, activates chlorobenzalmalononitrile capsules, a riot control agent, during the M-50 gas-mask training event aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 27. The MEU was the first unit in the Marine Corps on the east coast to receive the new M-50 gas-mask.
