Gen. Ray Odierno receives a standing ovation following his remarks at the USF-I change of command ceremony. Odierno, who has commanded USF-I, and before that MNF-I, relinquished command to Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III. Odierno, one of the architects of the troops surge in 2007, leaves Iraq to take charge of Joint Forces Command. Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, attended the ceremony at Al Faw palace to welcome Austin to his new post.
