ARTA BEACH, Djibouti (Feb. 16, 2017) U.S. Marine Cpl. Sean Bensel, a landing support specialist, uses a static wand to grab onto the lifting hook of a CH-53E Super Stallion during helicopter external load training at Arta Beach, Djibouti, Feb. 16. The static wand is used to prevent built up static electricity from the helicopter from shocking the Marines hooking the apex onto the lifting hook. Bensel is with Combat Logistics Battalion 11 and the Stallion and crew are with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
