Spc. Branden Black, a native of Seattle, Wash., who serves as a cargo specialist with the 1185th Deployment and Distribution Support Battalion, and Spc. Kobie Johnson, a native of Hollywood, Fla., who serves as a cargo specialist with the 1188th Deployment and Distribution Support Battalion, verify a Stryker armored vehicle’s serial number before it is loaded onto a vessel to be shipped back to the United States. As the 1188th prepares to take over for the 1185th, they work side by side to ensure the hand off between the two units goes unnoticed to their customers.
