Paddling through a thick bank of smoke, Airborne Engineers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, make their way to shore during a fierce Zodiak boat race held by the four engineer companies of the 82nd Airborne Division's, Brigade Combat Teams, Sept., 24. The race is part of a commemoration, held at Fort Bragg, on McKeller's lake, in honor of the 307th Engineer Battalion's historic crossing of the Waal River during World War II.
