170318-N-PP996-179 SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 18, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Justin Wahl, from York Haven, Pennsylvania, signals an MH-60R helicopter from Maritime Helicopter Strike Squadron (HSM) 37 on the flight deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112). Michael Murphy is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of U.S. 3rd Fleet.
